Pippa Griffin is a professional musician from London specialising in strings. As a Violinist and Violist she performs on both acoustic and electric instruments in concerts, shows and events around the UK across a range of genres including classical, pop and musical theatre. As an arranger she writes strings for pop artists and musical theatre shows, regularly performing and directing the strings for different projects.

Pippa specialises in strings and plays the Violin, Viola and 5 string Violin (all both Acoustic and Electric LED instruments) for a range of genres including classical, classical crossover, pop, musical theatre, jazz, film and contemporary. Pippa is also a mulit-instrumentalist using other instruments for different projects, including keys, bass guitar, guitar, cello and is an experienced Musical Director and Conductor alongside working as a string arranger for musical theatre and sessions.

As a session musician, Pippa has recorded violin and viola in studios including Abbey Road Studios and RAK Studios for artists including Novelty Island, Ryta Ray and Lea G. She also records remotely from her home studio.

Pippa regularly performs in musical theatre shows across multiple UK tours, taking her to the countries best theatres, concert halls and arenas. Shows include Thank You For The Music: ABBA Tribute (lead violin, acoustic&electric, string arranger), Mr Blue Sky: ELO Tribute (lead violin, string arranger), Hello Again: Neil Diamond Tribute (viola), Like Combs UK: Luke Combs Tribute (fiddle)

Pippa plays in live concerts and festivals around London and the UK, both with independent artists and orchestras including OneOrchestra, Infinity Orchestra, Symphonica Ibiza Orchestra, and for brands such as Team GB Olympics, ESL Dota 2. Venues include Union Chapel, Roundhouse and Resorts World Arena

Pippa enjoys performing at weddings across the country, curating the music for each part of the day from Ceremonies to Parties on acoustic or electric violin. She also performs with many top London function bands, string groups and her own ensemble – Griff Strings. Venues include: The Langham, Hedsor House, Clearwell Castle, Ludlow Castle, One Marylebone

Pippa specialises in string arrangements for pop and musical theatre, and has arranged the strings for Thank You For The Music: The Ultimate Tribute to ABBA show and Mr Blue Sky: The Out of This World Tribute to ELO, both produced by entertainers. She looks after the string sections for these shows and performs in them across the country as lead violinist. Pippa also works with artists and songwriters arranging strings for live sessions and recordings, most recently at RAK Studios. Pippa also writes and records her own covers and compositions from her home studio which she regularly uploads online.

Pippa has performed at corporate events for brands including Wednesday, Netflix, Dr. Martens, Longchamp, ASK Italian and Stanley Gibbons Baldwin’s with hosts including Frank Bruno and Alan Carr. Venues such as Raffles OWO, The Londoner and The Gherkin.

Pippa’s filming work includes Music Videos and Adverts. She has played the violin and viola in music videos for independent artists and recently filmed a music video with Burnley FC as solo violinist, which is shown at Turf Moor Stadium at the start of each home game. Pippa also played the violin as part of the orchestra for ‘The Ballad of the Bullet’ by Rushil Ranjan,  an advert for Royal Enfield in collaboration with the Royal Albert Hall.
